Brother
Two weeks ago my brother arrived here in Malta. Two months ago it felt so long until his arrival. Two months flew by and he showed up. Eric found his love for diving I think down at Koh Lanta. Now he came to Malta to have some good dives. The pressure was on me of course, I had been telling him that he needs to come down and dive some wrecks and explore the underwater world of the Mediterranean. But I also know how hard he is to satisfy. He is always happy to go diving but to make him very happy, it needs to be something exceptional.

Well, we started with a gentle dive and continued with some cool cave dives. After that I was allowed to take him to more darker and deeper dives. We went down to one of my favorite wreck here, P29. The 52m long military boat still with the gun in front. That dive was amazing, it was full with Amber jacks hunting around and the visibility was super.
Among these dives Eric also joined a trip to Comino for more wrecks and caves but also we went to Gozo together. I had never been on Gozo before, so for me it was also a new dive site. The inland sea and the Blue hole are two amazing dives!!

I know one more thing about Eric.. he loves food!! Luckily we have these small food kiosks everywhere in Malta called Pastizerrias. But also around Erics block we have the gelateria who makes the best ice cream in Malta, it's called Sotto Zero.  I think Eric spent at least one hour there everyday.

If those awesome food places were not enough, we went also for a food festival in the beautiful citadel of Mdina (as known as The Silent city). We ate good food and had a lovely day out!

The last day Eric was here we went for food and relaxing in world class. We went to the 5-star resort called Radisson Blu in Golden bay for a nice breakfast buffé, and yes, there was prosecco for breakfast. Followed by some hours spent on sun warm cliffs. The last dinner in Bugibba was amazing and Eric paid it all. He is a good brother, hopefully he will come and visit again in Koh Lanta.

Hello everybody, Sweden is out but very good job in the world cup. I have to say that it looks amazing home in Sweden during our teams games. Loads of people in yellow shirts and big screens everywhere. I would have liked to join that this summer. Instead I’ve been in Maltese bars and many times standing alone with my Swedish shirt against Germans and Englishmen. It’s okay the people are humble and nice and like to say how well done we have done in the world cup.

Have you ever heard about an electric ray ??? I saw one for the first time here in Malta on a regular fun dive. I got so excited and I was so lucky that the day after I saw one more on a totally different dive site. This fella can give you a shock of 220 volts crazy how a Ray actually can produce that kind of electricity.

Cirkewwa one of our awesome dive sites here in Malta

We have bought a grill and have used that many times now. Every week we go to the delicate disk and buy Maltese sausages, I have to say the Maltese can do gooood sausages. We eat them with big American buns and often some cheese in between.
Kevin & Lyndsey arranged a BBQ down by the beach, we had a couple of beers and grilled Angus burgers a great evening for sure.

Tomorrow my brother Eric is coming me and Marika have been planning where to eat and go while he is here. He will probably just want to go diving and eat pizza and hangout, but some activities we have planned for him….
