One year older and first time in my life I celebrate my birthday abroad. It was awesome, thanks to all birthday wishes and Marika. To bad to not spend the day with family as I always have, but you need to try something new and it turned out to be a birthday to remember.
Marika asked what I wanted to do on my birthday and I wanted to watch the sunset at anchor bay with a glas of wine, ok she said and I also wanted to make a cake for my work colleges.
The 17th morning was cake baking time. We made whip cream and bought strawberries. Very impressed of the cake.
Evening arrived on the 18th and it was time for us to go to watch the sunset. We left a little bit early because Marika said the bus goes in 10 minutes. we starting to walk to the bus stop but Marika kept going and stoped outside an hotel. At this point i was very confused and more I was about to get. I had to put on an headset so I didn't heard anything. Eventually a car showed up and picked us up. Now I knew we where not going to Anchor Bay.
After 15 minutes of driving Marika told me to cover my eyes, the car took a quick turn out on a dirt road and stoped. I went out open my eyes and I just saw a big sign saying Horse riding.
It was a sunset riding by the coast. So beautiful and a great surprise. Great to watch the sunset on a horseback i must say. After two hours of awesome riding we went back to Mellieha and had some sparkling wine watching the yellow lights from all the boats in the bay. Marika made this day to a birthday to remember.
Midsummer is also something I celebrate for the first time abroad. I really love Midsummer and Belinda the other swedish instructor planned a midsummer dinner at our place.
With "snaps" hearing and all the other good stuff you need to have we made a really good tasting dinner.
The whole Go dive squad showed up and at least the tried the hearing and sang songs and drank the "snaps".
Great evening.
